This page is to centralize all the various reading challenges that I am taking part in and track where I am in them.
I use reading challenges to expand my reading horizons, by trying new authors and genres, and to add an element of serendipity and fun to my reading. Finding a book that fits a challenge can be a challenge in and of itself, and that is part of the fun.
Books read: 102, significantly less than the 175 I'd aimed for.
Here are the challenges that I did in 2022.
I've moved A Century of Books to its own page here now. I read only 2 books toward this in 2022.
The years I did were 1959 and 1983.
15th Annual Canadian Reading Challenge.
This is a challenge that runs July 1st to June 30th and is hosted by me (so naturally I have to participate). It also feeds into my passion for Canadian books and my goal to make others realize just how many good authors we have in our country.
The goal was to read 5 books set in different European countries. This is the worst I've ever done.
The challenge is hosted here.

The TBR 22 in '22 Reading Challenge
This challenge is hosted here. I was only one short of the goal number.
The aim of this challenge is to read books you already own to clear them off your shelves and make room for new ones. I certainly have a lot of books on my shelves unread, so this is a perfect challenge for me to join.
I've done this challenge a few times. It is hosted here.
One again I managed to complete it.
This challenge has six prompts and you have to read a book to match each to complete it. For 2022, the prompts are:
* Speed
* Person and their description
* Mythical being
Queen of Dragons by Shana Abe. Finished February 4
* Season
* Colour
